The service on the Norwegian Escape was fantastic. I’d definitely say the entertainment on this ship was top notch and some of the best I’ve ever seen on a cruise. There were so many activities taking place, I couldn’t even participate in everything I wanted to during the week. Other indoor activities included watching a show at the theatre, bingo, karaoke, art auctions, shopping, video arcade, the spa, working out at the gym, bowling, trivia games, and many other activities found on the daily itinerary. There were lots of seats if you got there early, but once an act was underway it became more difficult. I personally enjoyed the main atrium lounge, the Brewhouse and O’Sheahan’s Pub for the drinks, dining and entertainment acts. I found that this ship had a fantastic array of activities and entertainment to keep passengers busy and having fun. So, for anyone who needs the elevators, just know that you will need a lot of patience! They were slow, they were crowded, and they were necessary for my husband to get around the ship due to a mobility issue. One thing that really stood out as a negative to me were the elevators. The only area that really felt crowded was the pool areas – but that’s the case on every ship we’ve been on. There were plenty of amenities and areas for passengers to enjoy. With the sheer enormity of the ship, we always felt like there was space for us in the lounges, bars and restaurants. The ship has a passenger capacity of 4,266, yet despite the number of passengers it never felt too crowded. The Norwegian Escape is officially the largest cruise ship we’ve sailed on. Earlier in 2019 I claimed that our cruise on the Freedom of the Seas was the biggest and best cruise we’ve been on, but our cruise on the Escape has topped that! Here is a detailed review of our cruise. The ship left form New York from the Manhattan cruise terminal and made one stop for 3-days: Bermuda. We sailed with Norwegian on the Escape in November 2019 for a Bermuda itinerary.

This is not the first time that daytime shows have peddled male flesh to the delight of their female viewers. I see a little of that happening, but it’s not disembodied women’s legs or comparing women to cars or all the other crap that happens on television all the time. I don’t see a lot of that happening in those videos. Objectification is reducing someone to less than human because we find them sexually attractive. “It’s OK to acknowledge a person is good-looking and that you want to do adult things to that person. “That’s kind of like saying none of our water should be polluted, but if we’re going to pollute the water, we should pollute it all equally,” she says. So, if we’re objectifying women, is it acceptable that we’re objectifying men? Angyal says that isn’t necessarily the case. “That there’s a continued discrepancy to get power and status for women would make a similar skit on Kimmel be not as funny.” This is a newer way for men to derive value though historically it was the only way for women to derive power or access to the public sphere and it continues to be a primary way for them to be valued by society,” says Amanda Lotz, an associate professor of communications as University of Michigan and the author of Cable Guys: Television and American Masculinities in the 21st Century. “We’re seeing men deriving value from their physical attributes. Does that make it all right? Just imagine the storm that would happen if Jimmy Kimmel had his female viewers send in videos of themselves in their underwear looking for a gig as his “gardener”. We’re laughing at these dudes on Ellen running around in their thongs and preening for the cameras as much as we’re lusting after them. “It’s daytime television so it’s aimed at married middle aged women, so it takes away a lot of the potential for the sex to ever be acted on … And it’s presented by America’s most visible lesbian, so that takes so much of the risk out of it … it takes a lot of the sex out of it.” “I think the context is really important,” says Chloe Angyal, who is a senior columnist at. We’ll be able to vote for the finalists starting 1 December.Īs an admirer of the partially nude male form I certainly enjoy these contests, but is it wrong? Are we making a mockery of these men by lusting after them? The show is, once again, hosting a male model search, complete with an America’s Next Top Model-style web show. Winner Robert Wilson was so good at his job that he’s now moved on to a role in Days of Our Lives. They found their first male spokesmodel (formerly called Barker’s Beauties) in 2012 with an online talent contest. The Price Is Right (which is still on and exactly the same as you remember it except it’s now hosted by Drew Carey and a “brand new car!” costs more than $10,000) has found itself in a similar predicament. She’s not the only one who is trying to recruit hunks. So far many men who know their way around a gym have chosen to submit themselves to audition for the job and Ellen has aired the best of the bunch, much to her audience’s delight. In his absence Ellen has been asking her pectacular viewers to post videos of themselves auditioning to be his stand-in on YouTube. Nick’s abs are so formidable that he’s landed a gig in the Magic Mike sequel. With one year of NFL experience under his belt, he could be the next Washington defender to enjoy a breakout season. At safety, there is Curl, Forrest, Butler, Jeremy Reaves and Martin.īutler is an excellent athlete who plays fast. Martin and Butler can also play cornerback. There is finally depth at cornerback with Kendall Fuller, St-Juste, Forbes and Danny Johnson. If everyone remains healthy, Washington’s secondary has a chance to be really good in 2023. “You see Percy out there and see him running around, and that’s good to see.” “You see the growth and development, especially out of guys like D-Foe and Benjamin and those guys in the secondary, they have that much potential for growth,” Rivera said. Head coach Ron Rivera mentioned Butler’s name unprompted Thursday when he was asked what to expect from the defense in 2023. Butler had an interception on the final day of minicamp Thursday, leading Sam Fortier of The Washington Post to tweet this: Quietly, Butler is having a terrific offseason, standing out in OTAs and in minicamp. Martin can play all over the secondary, with many envisioning him in the slot as a rookie. In the offseason, Washington used a first-round pick on cornerback Emmanuel Forbes and a second-round pick on defensive back Quan Martin. He was outstanding at times, bringing a physical presence to the running game and tying for the team lead with four interceptions. Forrest was so good the Commanders adjusted their secondary and made him a permanent starter. Learn more about Smart Layouts and what it takes to become a Course Ambassador. Washington loved Forrest - a fifth-round pick in 2021 - but after barely playing on defense as a rookie, no one was certain he’d be ready for an expanded role in 2022.įorrest exceeded all expectations, starting the first two games in place of the injured Kamren Curl. With injuries to Herro and Oladipo, Miami’s lack of depth will likely become more apparent in this series, especially considering Boston’s array of talented perimeter players who excel in scoring. The Washington Commanders selected former Louisiana safety Percy Butler in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft to fill a hybrid role in the secondary. In contrast, the Heat find themselves ranked 27th in covering spreads, with a cover rate of only 42.4 percent. The Celtics have emerged as the third-best team against the spread this season, including the playoffs, boasting a cover rate of 56.8 percent, as reported by. The Celtics’ Jayson Tatum and the Heat’s Butler will be key players to watch, as they have delivered impressive performances against each other in previous matchups. Both teams are well aware of each other’s strengths and will bring a high level of intensity to the series. The regular season saw Boston and Miami splitting their four matchups, each team winning on their home court. Mazzulla faces the challenge of matching wits with the highly respected Erik Spoelstra, the coach of the Miami Heat. The Celtics will have a new coach, Joe Mazzulla, leading them this time, replacing Ime Udoka, who was fired prior to the season. This marks the third meeting between the two teams in the past four seasons at the conference finals. I love the digital Speedo in the car, it clear and bright and seems to be very accurate when giving you readings. The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto worked well and I didn't have any complications when using it. The steering overall is fairly good, but at low speeds it can feel a little bit heavy especially going around corners or reverse parking. Fuel consumption has risen from 6.0l/100km to 6.3l/100km which isn't a deal breaker for me, it's still pretty good for the engine size and the car itself. But with the turbo, it may get a bit noisy if you really put your foot down. With 127KW and 220NM of torque, it definitely gets the job done for you and has plenty of power. CVT's are everyones favourites, but I think it actually works pretty well with this engine, it drives smoothly and just seems to work well together. Power from the Civic VTI-L comes from the previous 1.5LT Turbo Petrol engine, which is put together with a CVT transmission. Which is really handy, you get to see what's on your blind side without having to turn your eyes off the road, look it may not be Blind spot monitoring, but still very handy. This is a camera under your left mirror which will appear on the touch screen when you turn on your left indicator. One of my favourite features though is Lane watch. It will get your usual front/rear sensors, reverse camera, 17inch alloy wheels and Apple CarPlay and android Auto. The the VTI-L will also come with a leather wrapped steering wheel. The cloth seats are really comfortable and give good support. This is a big tick for me and for Honda, with most buyers now wanting/needing the active safety tech to now be basically standard on all models, this however is still not the case with Honda, but is has improved with now the VTI-L, RS and VTI-LX now standard with that active safety Tech. The major feature that is now standard on this Model is Honda Sensing, which was previously only available on the flagship VTI-LX, this offers AEB, FCW, LDW, LKAS, ACC and high beam support assist. To me, it give the styling a bit more sportiness and looks better compared the Chrome grill. One thing you will notice is that All civic sedan models will now come with the Black front grill standard except for the Base VTI, compared to the previous Civic where it was only available on the RS Model. Here, I'm talking about the Mid Spec VTI-L, which comes in at around From $31,795 drive away, adding $600 extra for metallic paint. The New Civic Sedan still has the same number of standard models, 5, starting from the Base VTI all the way to the top VTI-LX, so what's changed in the new facelift Civic? The MY19 Honda Civic Sedan is here! With a minor facelift from it's previous Bold statement restructure in 2016.
